- Consult Geologist and Driller for historical data concerning potential test well location.
- Schedule drilling with well driller.
- Drill pilot hole to 500-600’ collecting "cuttings" sand samples for the “driller’s log” per rod.
- E-Log bore hole by Geophysics company.
- Geologist to evaluate log for potential water sources in combination with samples.
- Decision to continue or abandon hole based on evaluation.
- Open up bore hole to the target area
- Set 4” screens and casing.
- Set gravel pack.
- Cap with bentonite, grout and/or back-fill.
- Airlift well to remove drilling mud from aquifer as possible.
- Install 5hp sub pump with 2” drop pipe and 2" flow meter.
- Provide 460VAC 3Phase power to pump.
- Pump well until turbidity is below 1 NTU or better @ 100GPM. If water doesn’t clear well test is terminated.
- WWTP lab will test for turbidity, pH and Iron daily until well is fully developed.
- If internal testing results are deemed acceptable: Test for PH, Turbidity, Iron, Manganese, and all EPA regulated PFAS compounds.
- Based on water quality results a full EPA water quality sample test will be performed.
- If EPA test is acceptable. Step Draw down Test for Geologist to evaluate potential yield.
- If yield projection is acceptable: Engineering, construction of production well is planned and executed.
